My registries are measley...

My registries are measley...

anyone else like this?

I'm registered at Macy's, Fortunoff and Crate and Barrell. The problem is that my FH and I already own a house (which half my family doesn't know about... shhhh! lol), and we have a lot of the stuff we need already! My Macy's registry has 34 items on it, when they suggest 275 items! My fortunoff registry has a few more things. I think I'm registered for 6 things at Crate and Barrell. I don't want to put things on just to put them on. I would much prefer my guests to purchase from our honeymoon registry, but I'm afraid that my 'old fashioned' kind of guests are going to look to my store registries and be disappointed. What do you think?

I can relate to your registry problem. We already own a house and moved in last summer, so we purchased everything we needed. I may upgrade a few things, like my dishes/silverware/etc. but I don't need much else.

I think the honeymoon registry is a great idea. Those guests that are 'old-fashioned' can order from your regular registry if they want, and the more hip ones can order from your honeymoon registry. I think younger people would do that!

Well what about resgistering at BBB, I'm pretty sure they let you return registry gifts for cash.

Did you add fine china, crystalware, flatware,
new bed linens..serving pieces....

You can register for decorative stuff, like pictures, vases, etc

good luck

Re: My registries are measley...

Thank you... a lot of people bought all that stuff for the e-party. I have photo albums, frames and vases coming out of my ears. My mom already bought me my box o' china and fine silverware. We have two bedding sets already - and the guest room bedding. I have my everyday dinnerware from the Pampered Chef.

Even the things I do have on my registry are like 20 bucks each. Silicone muffin pan, collandar, etc. I feel like people would feel stupid giving that stuff. And then I have the other extreme... our bbq! lol. And a steamer my FH wants.

I originally registered for an expensive toaster, iron, blender, etc., but we had to buy a lot of that stuff ourselves since we needed it in our house. So... off the list. I originally thought I would buy the cheap stuff and upgrade, but the cheap stuff if actually working out just fine! And it looks nice, so I don't see a need for another toaster. I'm just really hoping people consider the honeymoon registry. That would help a LOT!
