My review!!! FINALLY!!!!

Ok. Here is my review (FINALLY!!!) from my July 18th wedding. Sorry it has taken so long. I am working on scanning pictures in, but we seem to have the worlds slowest scanner. It is taking 10 minutes just to scan one in! The pictures are going to be seriously delayed. Sorry to keep you in suspense! Anyway. . . here is the review:

My day started off with Self Image Salon (grade = A- , only because my hair fell a little at the very end of the night, but I did dance like a maniac all night long) for my hair and all of the bridesmaid's hair. I have been going there for years and they did a wonderful job. Everyone was very happy. Then we went back to my house for. . .

Jacqueline Nicole for make-up. (grade = A+ ) I had the airbrushing and it was so worth it. My face did not feel cakey at all and my makeup lasted all day. I only had to touch up my lipstick. As my makeup was being finished, my florist showed up. . .

Malkmes Florist (grade = A+ ). I used this florist because they were the recommended vendor of my catering hall. I was really nervous because no one had ever heard of them, but my flowers were unbelievable. I could not stop looking at them all day. The bouquets were so fresh and the colors were so bright. They were even better than I had pictured. And the way they decorated the church and the hall was beautiful! Shortly after that, my photographer showed up. . .

Patken - (grade = A+) Steve was my photographer. He was so great throughout the whole day. My family and the wedding party were all thrilled with him. He was so funny and made us all very comfortable. He was so professional during our minor limo crisis, but I will get to that later. He managed to take pictures in such a limited amount of time (again due to small problem with limos). I also got my proofs and I will post them as soon as I can. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a scanner that actually works. Anyone want to loan me one? Then. . .

All Star Limo shows up, early!!! (grade = B+ ) I wasn't thrilled with them insisting on payment the second they walked in the door, but I'm assuming all companies do that. I put it in a nice envelope and he ripped it right open and counted it in front of me. Weird, no? Then we went to the church and the ceremony was perfect. Pictures outside of the church went very smoothly. The limos then took us to Cedar Beach, but on the way, our car broke down!!! We had the Rolls and we waited about a half an hour for the groomsmen's limo to come pick us up. They took us to the beach and by the time we left the beach, the Rolls was repaired. I have to say, All Star was very professional and handled it as best as they could. It was unfortunate that the limo broke down because it really delayed us and we missed all of our cocktail hour, but I didn't allow it to ruin my day. They were very good about compensating us and I would still recommend them and use them again. Then, we were off to. . .

The Meadow Club (grade = A+ ) Everything was perfect. The food was fantastic. I didn't get to tast the cocktail hour food, but I received many compliments. The service was unbelievable. I felt a bit rushed throughout the night, due to missing the cocktail hour. I couldn't believe it when it was time to cut the cake. They gave me extra time to talk to my gusts and they even extended the cocktail hour 15 minutes for us. Everyone at the meadow Club was wonderful. Anyone who is getting married there has absolutely nothing to worry about. I can't wait to post pictures, especially of my cake!!! It was so beautiful!!! The flowers on the cake were so beautiful too! Oh, I almost forgot. . .

Classic Video (grade = A+ , but I haven't seen the video yet, so that is just based on the day) They were so unobtrusive. I didn't even know they were there. I booked with them really early, so i was able to get two camera coverage for the price of one. I am so excited to see the video. I barely noticed them, yet I know they caught everything. I willl hopefully have more to say when i actually get the video.

Big Hits Entertainment (grade = A ) They were great! People were dancing all night. They played all of the songs we requested and they were not cheesy at all. Even my dad was dancing. I told them that if they had my dad dancing, they were doing a good job. Well, he was dancing a lot!

What else is there? My dress and all of the bridesmaid dresses were from Paradise Bridal (grade = B for alterations, A for service). The people there are all very nice. The alterations were not the way that I wanted them at the second fitting. I went back for a re-fit. They fixed them right up. Some of the bridesmaid alterations could have been better, but nothing was really bad.

Bonaventure Tuxedos (grade = A+ ) I just asked DH about this and he said everything was perfect.

Well, I think that is it. We had such a wonderful day! I am really happy with all of my vendor choices. They really helped to make the day wonderful.
