My RH lost my veil...what do I do? UPDATE

Ok so after cocktail hour I went to the bridal suite and put my veil on a couch. I was in and out of the suite a few times but at the end of the day my bridal attendant packed all my stuff up....so I took my bag and left. (My parents stayed behind and took all my boxes, etc) Now I am back from my honeymoon and I dont see my veil...hmmph! I called them and they said they dont seem to have it?!?!? So where is it?!?!?!? I am so confused what I am supposed to do now.

It wasnt that expensive...but still...I am mad. And what if it was a $300 veil...I'd be pssssssssssed!

UPDATE - We talked to them again and they definitely dont have it and said they are not responsible for personal items. However someone packed up my bag...so if you are touching my stuff arent you responsible for it?

I would call the RH and see if it was left behind there...it has to be there!!!

Are you sure you have everything? Im only asking cause when I left the RH my parents had bags in their car, DH's cousin had bags and there were bags in my car. When I got home and was looking through stuff, I was missing so many things and then I remembered the other bags.

I honestly dont think there is much you can do. It has been over a week, there has been multiple people and parties there I am sure, besides all the staff.

I would double check everything, ask all the BP and parents if they have seen it. Then I would try and talk to the manager or that attendant and see if they know what happend

Call all of your family and bridal party - ask them to double check their bags and vehicles. Then call the manager of your rh since they packed up for you. Tell them you want compensation -

Sorry, that's such BS. I would demand compensation, it's an emotional heirloom, no matter how much you paid for it.

Same thing happened to my sister at her wedding (back in 02). Never found it, and it was an over $300 veil.

I agree...that really really s^cks - I would be furious. A friend of mine got married last July and her RH lost her shoes - and she 'asked' them to reimburse her...I def think you should do the same. While monetary compensation won't make up for the loss of a sentimental item, it's still something.

First double check with everyone that may have had stuff of yours.

If not sorry to say but I don't think there is much they can do. Most places tell you straight out they are not responsible for items left in the bridal suite -- veil or anything else.
