said he doesn't want to be my ringbearer! He's only 5 but already said that he doesnt want to walk down the aisle and have people look at him. I know things may obv change...but he's a pretty tempermental kid and does get kind of shy sometimes.... should i get a 2nd one? Does the ringbearer walk with the flower girl or individually?

Re: my ringbearer.....
Maybe he can walk with the FG and he'll feel better about it...especially if he knows her.

Try bribing him......Tell him you'll buy him 'whatever his favorite thing is'....I bet he'd do it then

Re: my ringbearer.....
Ive heard they do individually and i heard they go with the FG.
If you want a RB, get another one. Im having 2 - so theres nothing wrong with 2 RBs.
My RBS are 7 and 10 and are walking down with my FG who will be 3. I am having her walk with them bc she loves one of them and i dont want her running down or refusing due to similar anxieety your RB is showing. Shell walk down with Matthew and itll be great...

he doesn't know her, which probably means he will want nothing to do with her....
his sister is in the wedding, but she's a jr. bridesmaid (she will be 13) should he walk with her?

I've seen both ways. It's kinda hard to tell what a child is going to feel like doing the day of the wedding. My Great nephew is Debi's RB; He's 6; But recently he gave indication he did not want to be the RB, and he's also the little guy I asked you gals to pray for re: to death issues. So, perhaps Deb needs to have a back up too. Mary MOB

Re: my ringbearer.....
Mine is 6, and does not like that sort of attention either, and as well has metioned that he don't want to walk down alone. So I make jokes about it, and tell him, if he promises me that he will not throw our rings out the limo window, I will have some special gift for him! And to include the FG in on it, I told her(5 yrs old) it's her responsibilty to keep her eye on him that he doesn't do anything bad. At the church he will have no choice, and if he panics, I will make him walk down w/his mom my MOH. And just rearrange the line!

Re: my ringbearer.....
5 is a hard age. Your RB can walk with whomever you choose. It would probrobly be easier for him if he walked with someone else he knows. My RB will 7 (one turns 7 the next day) and FG (one turns 7 the next day, her twin brother is a RB) the other will be 4 1/2. She is shy too, so we are getting her the American Girl Doll flower girl outfit to dress her doll in that she always carries with her.
