my save the dates

okay so i sent my save the dates out back in MAY and i get a text from FH last night that read

can you send a save the date to mr and mrs x [address] thanks

i was like *** where did that come from i don't know these people

He responds they are my parents friends they decided to invite them they were not sure until today if they wanted to

i was like they better not be adding people after real invitations go out I may lose it then

sorry had to vent

uh oh. did they REALLY need a save the date? I mean they'd get an invitation when those went out. now they're obligated to invite them.

I don't want any of their friends coming to the wedding i have never met any of their friends

unlike fh who has met all our family friends at various different events over the years



Who ever thought of having in laws was a crazy person

it should have been we marry men and then they move away from their parents for ever and ever and they never see each other again

My FMIL is famous for this!!! She wants to invite her whole office!!! I'm like, thisis our wedding and unless you intend on paying for it, I'll invite who I want!!! I hate this part of things!! My mom on the other hand is the opposite. She doesn't want me to invite any of her friends!!! GEESH!!!

he's like ehh ames dont worry, they wont come. they dont have green cards. lol, he's just so bad. at least it's HIS family he's joking about.

i wish. i didint let them choose anyone for the e-party. i kinda did the right thing and invited important family people. but i know there are going to be some friend they want to invite.

maybe i should seriously consider laying some ground rules?????

FH and I sat down and made our guest list first and then we figured on the price PP and how much my family were giving us for the wedding. We took the remainder and divided by two so that each family had a set number they could invite. Knowing this I still fudged the numbers and gave FH's family 5 invites and my side way more so maybe this wasn't exactly fair but 99% of his side wont even attend since they're on the west coast.

I'm naughty.

But in all honesty my mom ruined the plan. Oh well!

What I did was make a real guest list.

What I mean by this is all important family and family friends.

Then I said these are the people you are allowed. Anyone else and you're paying for them. No exceptions.

Oh and i only told this to FMIL bc my mom wont add anyone else. I got everyone possible.

Last I heard FMIL had 40 extra people and his grandfather had 19.

Geez.
