I had a few friends and their babies over -- and when they were leaving -- I walked onto my porch to say bye -- and Aidan shut the door behind me and locked me out ! All of the windows were locked! I started panicing! My neighbors rushed over and called 911-- in the meantime we went around back and banged on the french doors to get Aidan to come in to the family room where we could see him. The police came and after a few trys -- picked the lock on the garage door and got in .. THANK GOD! I was never so happy in my life! Aidan was fine -- laughing and happy to have the run of the house! Now I am making sure I hide a key somewhere!!!

Re: MY SCARY DAY !!
That is my big fear! I live on the second floor of a house. Everytime I go to get the mail I paranoid that Patrick is going to lock me out. (He has a habit of locking the door)
Glad to hear everyone is ok!!!

I am glad that you are okay and that the baby is okay too. I did that to my mom when my little brother was only a few months old and crying in the crib. The police had to come and break thru a window to get into the house....

Re: MY SCARY DAY !!
oh you poor thing. My MIL babysat my BIL's two VERY MISCHIEVOUS boys last Spring, and when she got out of the car to get them out of their car seats, the older one leaned over and locked her out! She had of course left the keys on the front seat figuring I'll grab them with my bag once I have them situated in the stroller. They sat in their seats laughing and pointing and wouldn't open the doors! She had to get the police to break the window!!!!
She was SO upset.....

Re: MY SCARY DAY !!
Oh My GOODNESSS!!!! Thats one of my fears! Even if I run to the mailbox while he's asleep, I take my keys with me. I always think even if I leave the door unlocked that it will lock on me Thank goodness all is ok! How cute, after I read it (and saw the happy ending) I got a laugh picturing your little cutie pie laughing and running around!
I usually give JA the car keys to quiet him down, since he learned that it makes the car BEEP and makes the doors open and close. But I try not to let him have it long enough to do that. Well a few weeks ago, as I was getting him out of his carseat, he pressed the button to SHUT the door where I was standing to get him out, and the door was closing in on me!! (minivan) So I quickly grabbed the keys from him before the door shut. and I think they KNOW when youre giving them fake or old keys I have to make up a good 'set' of keys for him, with an old alarm thingie and all..

Re: MY SCARY DAY !!
Talk about flashbacks!!
Brandon did that when he was young too, and I was panic stricken becuase I could not see him, we lived in a co-op. My neighbor was a police officer and he climbed the fire escape and opened the door for me.
