Tonight my FIANCE and I went to Arthurs Landing (across from midtown manhattan on the NJ side) I was considering it for a reception hall, so figured we'd have dinner. I thought the food was excellent. The view is GEORGEOUS!! Only problem is that they are not opening their 2006 datebook until late summer due to menu changes/pricing changes. I am annoyed b/c i don't feel like waiting around for them to take a deposit from me is worth waiting until August. I can't book photographers or bands if I don't know the date??? Yeah, that is a beautiful place. I love on the water spots like that. I would not want to wait either but look at other places in the interim and if you don't have 'that feeling' about other places make sure you put the deposit down for the other place with a signed contract for that date to ensure he can hold it for you. That view is beautiful. I mean maybe you should call them and get the exact date of when they will be taking deposits for catering, so this way as soon as they opent he datebook your wedding is the first date booked.
