My September 15th Wedding....!!!...!!!!
A BIG hello to everyone- I hope all is well with everyone and my prays and thoughts are with all the families and victims of this tragedy. We'll my husband and I went on with the wedding and it went well. Two years of planning turned into 2 days of rearranging but all things considered it was a beautiful day. We intergeted some thoughts and extra prays into the ceremony and one of the groomsmen brought America flags for the groom and ushers which was a nice touch they wore them on their lapels. Not even realizing it I had a red white and blue theme which was very fitting for the occassion, I of course was the white (groom white vest and tie), the bridesmaids wore blue and the groomsmen matching blue vests and ties and the floweres were red and white and mine was black magic roses (deep read, white snap dragons and roses and blue steponotis (not sure of the spelling). We did a Dove release which was gorgeous. If you would like to know about any vendors or details just ask. I will try and write again but would love to give you the details you are interested in.

Nicole-now a 'MRS'!
Congratulations. I am so happy that everything worked out for you...I was thinking of you on Saturday. I know I asked you before, but i forgot...who did you work with at WCC? I'm getting married there next July and need another contact person. Any suggestions regarding food, flowers (centerpieces), or anything else would be greatly appreciated. I am so happy for you.

Staci-
Hi Staci- We worked with Peter and he was nice to work with by far the most attentive at the catering hall that we dealt with. I would recommend that any special requests you have at the catering hall regarding food and details are clearly noted on the contract and fill in sheet you will get a few weeks before the wedding. There were a few items we requested for the cocktail hour that were not there. We were supposed to have an indoor outdoor coctail hour but they did not invite anyone outside I am assuming because it was dark at 7pm. The reception room had plenty of room for all to dance and party but our tables were not set up the way I had planned this was part due to the fact everything was rearranged the day before and how the catering hall felt it should be. They did work with us in the end and compensated us for the guests that could not make it. Which was a nice gesture, they also said we could cancel and reschedule our choice. I would recommend low round tables they fit best and the tables are a nice size to accomadate them. If I missed anything let me know I could type all day.

Here it goes: We got married at Holy Name of Marry. It is a beautiful church and everyone associated with the church is wonderful. We used a gentlemen named Frank for the dove release which was spectacular - thanks Diva. We used Royalty Limos -- they lived up to their great reputation. The drivers were friendly and great with directions. My driver Greg was great with my dress what a bid help. We had a limo bus which couldn't have been more comfortable. The only thing that happended with the cars was the limo that brought my husband and the guys was supposed to wait till after the ceremony for pictures but had to go since with the tragedy many of their drivers could not report to work. They more than made up for that with the great service. My dress was bought at Adrienne's bridal in Islip and it fit perfectly. The tuxes came from the shop attached to Royalty and they were great too. The flowers from Pedestals were gorgeous. My bouquet got lost in the shuffle in the end of the night but it was beautiful and held up wonderfully. The photographer Joe Morreale gave us a few scares and was a little moody and very bossy we needed to keep tabs on him which I wasn't to thrilled about. He takes good pictures and I am sure he got some great one I just wish his demeanor was softer. The videographer Vand V videos was fantastic by far our favorite vendor Vinny and his assist Mike were wonderful they relaxed us and couldn't have been more accomodating. Lastly the catering hall Woodbury CC. The food was delious and the help was so attentive to my husband and I and our immediate families we felt like royalty. The worst thing that happened was our guests were not served for 15-20 minutes to wait for their main course when they were asked to sit down from dancing. The cake was beautiful just like I imagined. Pedestals decorated it with my main flower the black magic rose. I think I got everything. The honeymoon was cancelled by us. We were going with Tahiti Legends for 10 days. They are great they refunded us 100% and said we could travel at any time. Which we are seriously considering. They couldn't have treated us better. I can only imagine how wonderful they are there. If I left anything out or think of something I will post again. If you would like any references just ask. Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations and Best Wishes for a Happy Marriage!!
Nicola, I am so happy to hear that your day went off without a hitch, and that you had a wonderful time! Congratulations on taking the plunge...when are you planning to join us on the 'Newlywed' side of the board? Sorry that the trip to Tahiti didn't happen right now, but I am sure that you and hubby are content to stay domestic and enjoy Vermont and New Hampshire. Tahiti will wait, and can only become more fabulous in the future. Best wishes!

Wendy-
What is a must see in New Hampshire. Our travel agent found us a place to stay in the white mountains in a town called Jackson at Wentworth Resort Lodge. Our plan is to drive early Friday morning to Vermont and stay the weekend then head to NH early Monday and spend the day and leave the next day for Bar Harbor Maine. I hope we can experience all there is in the short time we have. What are your plans?

The Wentworth is lovely. We are staying right around the corner from there. If you are only going to be in NH for one day it is tough to tell you what all the can't misses there are. There is just so much to do. I would say you have to take a trip to the top of Mount Washington, which is the highest peak in the Northeast. The view is just amazing..as is the trip up. You can drive it yourself or take vans from the Glen House which is across the street from the start of the autoroad. The drive up yourself can be scary..the road is narrow and twisty and winding, which is why lots of people take the van up. This is a don't miss especially if the weather up top is good. Another don't miss is the Cannon Mountain Ariel Tramway. It takes you to the top of Cannon Mountain. Lots of fun, great views and a great hike around the top of the mountain (no special gear required and very easy). If you were staying more than 1 day I would tell you that you cannot miss taking the North Conway Scenic Railway. It is an old fashioned steam locomative trip that takes 5 1/2 hours and takes you through mountains and again you have spectacular views. It is a blast. They also have a shorter trip which takes you into the valley area. There is also what is considered a Scenic Byway in the area which is called the Kancamagus Highway. If the leaves are turning you will see some of the most incredible scenery you have ever seen. There is so much more, but I will run out of room. Another suggestion if you are going to Bar Harbor. Make sure you go to Acadia National Park. It is a must see. Do not miss the sunset at the top of Cadillac Mountain. It is amazing!!! Also if you want to get up early, see the sunrise there..also incredible..it is where the sun rises first in the whole country. We have been there several times and almost decided to go again this trip, but we couldn't fit it in. Let me know if you have any questions about directions etc. Have a blast!!

Thanks Wendy-
Actually we had to take out New Hamsphire there wasn't enough time to spend there to enjoy all there is to see. We decided we would head up there another time. We have planned a spa resort in Vermont for 3 days and 4 days in Maine in Bar Harbor. So when is your big day. Good luck - enjoy and don't get bogged down with the details what happens will happen and it will be a great day no matter what. Good luck and congratulations.

Nicola, Thanks
I am getting married on Sunday. I can't wait. Today was my last day of work. Yippee!!! I plan on enjoying it no matter what!! Enjoy your honeymoon. Bar Harbor is a wonderful place to visit as is Vermont. You won't be disappointed. The area of New Hampshire that you were going to has enough to keep you busy for several days. I hope you get to go eventually. Have a great time.Welcome New Vendors
