My Shower
Had my shower this past weekend.. all went great, got lots of wonderful gifts! and i just love my bridesmaids! a couple of damper stories in the days to follow...
FMIL tried to chase my friends from the table they were sitting at because she wanted the best viewing table for HER family (screw my family right!) my friends didnt let her chase them out and the best part is there was still enough seats for her family and a couple of her oh so important friends to have the front and center table!
FMIL then sifted through the favors and handed the 'Good' ones to HER friends, and also told them take 2 there are plenty.. she didnt share that generosity with MY side (she likes to split sides)
FMIL took some pics, when she handed them to me she gave me a disclosure 'i only took pics of my side because i figured someone would be doing your side', to add to this, she walked up to one of the tables about to take a picture then looked at the people at the table and walked away when she realized it was not a HER side table! how insulting can she be???
FMIL, made sure to take me aside to point out all the things she was only 'allowed' to do... she is not a bridesmaid and she did more than enought for MOG.
Found out one of my bridesmaids complained no one was contacting her, and FMIL complained to my mom.. this is a crock because i was recently shown the emails sent to her and between other brides maids asking if anyone has gotten any responce from her!
FMIL later insulted my great aunt (like 80+ yrs old) because she got me all blue bathroom stuff because my fav color is blue, then went on and on about how she likes the 'fashion' towels her friend (not on registry) got for us and how great they are... they are pretty bland and not like the 'fashion' ones i registered for and not even from a store i registered at so i can xchange them.... she consistantly insults my family!
It just annoys me that i have such great bridesmaids that went to a lot of trouble for me and all FMIL can think of is how best to accomodate HER friends.. sorry...but i have pics of all these ladies, I DONT KNOW and only a couple non of my family and friends! and it just annoys me how petty she behaved about things and still can not recognize that i have a family and my own friends as well! she didnt even bother to introduce me to her friends! what the heck!
