My Shower *Story*...

What an incredible, unbelievable, emotional day yesterday was for me and Peanut!!!! So full of love and generosity, it's overwhelming!!!


My 5 amazingly talented sisters went above and beyond to make it a special day for me. We had about 45 people (EEK!!). The centerpieces were plants w/ balloon bouquets and the favors were handmade pillar candles w/ a holder!! They're beautiful!!

They had games and prizes, too!!

- Name that baby food
- Say 'baby' clothespin game
- Unscramble baby-related words
- Baby shower bingo
- A wall-hanging that everyone signed w/ well wishes
- Everyone wrote their guesses for gender, name, weight, birthdate and length on a little 'foot' and they were all hung on a straw hat by a pink or blue ribbon (more votes for a girl vs. boy) We'll see!!

The gifts were outrageous... out of control!!! My entire registry is gone. Literally. The 'little' stuff that I thought was still on there was in my wishing well!! We also got a ton of clothes, $$$ and BRU gift cards and some wonderful gifts that I didn't register for - like a portable swing!!! Unreal. Three carloads to get it home. My dining room has been taken over by Peanut.

Lisa Rose handmade beautiful cards for Steve and I, and she even got Steve his own gift so he didn't feel left out!! AWWW!!

I can't believe my Peanut is due one month from tomorrow!!!

Like I said earlier....Kathi's family is so wonderful, warm and funny!! I had a great time, even though I didnt know a soul but Kathi. It was great meeting her family and friends!!

Kathi, it sounds like a wonderful day, and as for the stuff....my DH likes to call all the generosity 'an embarrassment of riches'...but, don't worry...you'll be putting all that stuff to good use soon!

I forgot about the clothespin game - we played that at my shower too, except we used diaper pins!
