My shower was Jan 7! (a little long)
I haven't had time to post but my shower was Jan 7 at Milleridge Inn in the Directors Rom (my fave room but it was a tight squeeze!). It ended up not being a surprise but I thought it was best that way. My mom's friend didn't know it was a surprise and spilled the beans but I had basically figured it out anyway-honestly, it made things easier bc I helped my mom with her post-shower food planning. When you live with your parents you can't really be surprised - at least not at my house- it's only clean when guests are coming over, so I'd have found out anyway!! ![]()
The food was brunch- french toast, chicken teryaki in a light sauce and a spinach quishe that, unfortunately for my veggie BM, has bacon in it...the food was very good- our waitress was AMAZING (esp from what my 2 MOH told me) and my guests were very generous. I was blown away by my gifts tho I think 2 are missing based on the shipping sheet from Bed, Bath and Beyond and what I actually have.
The waitress had to rearrange the room bc the set up was wrong and she didn't hesitate and did it all herself. She was fast, attentive and polite-helped the day flow well and kept my BM supplied with garbage bags and whatever else they needed- the room was crowed and she wove her way through beautifully. It was still decorated for the holidays and the place looked BEAUTIFUL- made me regret not booking the cottage for my wedding! Here are a few pics and the link to my album:

Tho I thought I'd do better than I did- it was all the pressure-and the fact that he changes his favorites all the time...
My crazy bow hat which my BM Angela decided needed the streamer things even before the bows were added- everyone said it was the best one they've seen. I think it's pretty spiffy...
