My Shower was on Saturday - Lots of Pics!

I had my shower this past Saturday and it was so much fun!!! It was at Jonathans in Garden City Park and it couldn’t have been more perfect. My mom, sister, best friend Carol and Ang did such an amazing job. I am so lucky to have met Ang and become such good friends with her. She helped my Mom so much with the shower. She did all the games, wish cards, table numbers, gift tags for the prizes, wrapped the prizes, shoe place cards, wrapped the shoe favors, and so much more! Not only did she do all that she also got me such beautiful gifts. My favorite gift of the entire shower was from her. It was a monogram swatch with my initials KLW and my wedding date. It is my 'something blue' I will have sewn into my dress. I just started crying when I saw it since those are not going to be my initials after 10/15. I definitely need to take a picture of that and post it. It was so thoughtful. I was completely overwhelmed and cried about 6 times during the shower…lol. Everyone got me such beautiful gifts. I was so in shock at the amount of stuff I got.

Brian also surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of red roses. He even contacted John from Flower Michele to find out the color flower (cherry love) that will be in our centerpieces and ordered those specific flowers. Thanks John for helping! He also surprised me with a gift from Tiffany and Co. I love my Bribri! Also thank you to my girls: Azad, Liz, Denise and Donna for helping with the shower and also staying late to help lug the gifts to the car. Thank goodness you have a truck Donna! I am so glad to have found you all on LIW and so glad we have become such great friends. Thank you also for the beautiful candle basket and for the amazing gifts you all got me. You all spoiled me! I am one lucky girl!

Now onto the details of the shower. I saw pictures from a shower that SonicStef had thrown for one of her friends last year and saved them. I showed them to my Mom at the beginning of the year and told her I loved the centerpieces and all the pretty details. So a few months ago I FM’ed SonicStef and asked her if it was okay if we used the same flowers. She was so sweet and more then happy to help and was so cool with us using the same flowers. So thank you so much Stef for sharing your ideas with us and letting me use them. Trina from Expressions did the flowers. I helped my Mom with the contact since she is not online. Trina was awesome to work with and everything was perfect, fresh and delivered right on time. I would definitely use her again for future parties. The tables looked so pretty. My Mom found the pink plaid fabric at a flea market and had the runners made. She also got the martini glasses at Pier One and Trina filled them with spray roses. Then for favors she gave out little white shoes wrapped in tulle and a pink bow (thanks Ang) and monogrammed sugar cookies with a favor tag that matched the invites. She got the coolest pink feather pens from oriental trading to use for the games and also gave out little pink handbags with chocolate as prizes for the purse power game. Another cool prize she gave was aprons that were made of the same pink plaid fabric. Everything was very pink and very girly! Now onto the pics!
