My Shower Was This Weekend!
And now it all seems so very real! I have to admit that everyone did a very good job with the surprise...I knew I was having a shower but they really got me on the date. I thought we were going to celebrate FH's little brother's birthday which really was this weekend.
Everything was perfect and I could not have asked for more. Every detail was perfect and everyone did an amazing job. I felt very loved and very lucky to have such wonderful friends and family. I have to give a special thank you to my LIW girls who really went above and beyond – especially Azad, Kim, Lori, and Sue – Rich hasn’t stopped singing your praises. Thank you for taking charge and handling everything. I got so many calls afterwards about how great everything was and how much fun people had. His parents think the world of you – everyone does!
The shower was at Buon Giorno in Lynbrook. It was great – people have been raving about the food and the service. One person had parked their car at a mete and the waiters took charge to remind her when time was up and they ran out to put the money in for her. The games were a blast and they included Purse Power (Sue – all the women counted their rings as their rock so you should have counted yours – but no one else had a pinecone!) and bingo. The girls even had people write out wishes and advice. FH and I read them when we got home – they were great!
Everyone was so generous – we got so much stuff. It was unbelievable. FH and I managed to clear through the room and put everything in order. So now it’s organized chaos. But I’m not complaining. My BM even flew in from Buffalo for the day. I couldn’t believe it!
