My shower was today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have to say - my family is usually not too good about keeping surprises, but they did a great job this time! i mean, i had an idea just because i was expecting my shower to be sometime soon... but everyone did a great job of throwing me off.

the shower was at il mulino, and italian restaurant in roslyn. the food was INCREDIBLE. we started off with a cold antipasto buffet. then there was salad served at the table, and then a plate with 2 different kinds of pasta - a fantastic mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce, and a thick noodle pasta with eggplant and sausage. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and then for dessert we had... tiramisu

my moh handed out 'alex trivia' sheets for people to fill out, and those with the most correct answers about me (favorite color, my dog's full name, etc...) got candles as prizes. there was also 'shower bingo' - each person filled out bingo sheets with gifts they thought i was gonna get, and then as i opened them they crossed off the gift on their sheets. if they got bingo, they got a yankee candle. it was hilarious to have people yelling 'BINGO!' in the middle of my shower!

overall, we had a fantastic time!! of course, i forgot my dig camera, so i am waiting on pics. i will post as soon as i have them!
