My Shower...What do you think?! I'm confuseddd
So I didn't want to be surprised for my shower, and my mom was planning to have it at our neighbors house because they have a beautiful backyard that is all deck. We would be having it sometime in June, and I was open to anything!
My FMIL and my mother were talking, and my FMIL's neice lives in this mansion house in Garden City and she mentioned that she wanted to host the shower, everything paid for. My mom felt bad and was like I have to pay for something! But I thought it was such a nice gesture for my FH's cousin to do that. They actually throw engagment/showers at their house. They threw my FH's other cousin this beautiful engagment party last year. They had over 100 people and you would never know! They have their own cateror (we could only wish! lmao!) So she told my mom not a penny would be spent on her end. This is great because both our families aren't the most financially blessed as most families, so this is a great option for us all.
ONLY setback:
The cousin has 4 kids, and she said she would only do it during the week.
The majority of my bridesmaids are teachers, so we have off in June, and my FH's family are all on long island so it wouldn't be a problem, but most of my family are from out of state (not that far though) so a weekday will be tough for them to travel here, especially if they are working.
what do I do!? it sounds all too good to be true, but I really want my family to be there.
I asked if a Friday night would count as a weekday lol so I'm praying she says that is ok. If I remember, the engagement party was a Friday night.
I know showers are supossed to be during the day, but I wouldn't mind having it at night, especially at this house hahaha
