My SIL's nephew...is being bar mitzvah'd today...

...and they WERE expecting 250 people.....45 of them have called SO FAR to say they aren't coming.

I feel soooo bad.

I know someone who is being Bar Mitzvah'd today too. I hate when the weather ruins a planned event, especially for a kid.

oh that stinks! my brother's bar mitzvah was around this weekend, but 10 years ago and it snowed then too!

Well...it was cancelled. They had his ceremony, but have postponed the party.

My MOH and her husband are up from Florida this weekend for her husband's cousin's Bat Mitzvah. As far as I know, everything has been going according to schedule, but who knows.

Anyway, MOH's husband's Bar Mitzvah was in February (a few years ago), and there was a huge snowstorm. Now this cousin's BM is snowed out. There's only one other cousin, and he's an August Baby. I told MOH that if there's a weather event for his BM, then that means there's DEFINITELY a curse on that side of the family!!! LOL

I'm sorry for your SIL's nephew though - he'll still get to have his big day!
