Don't worry too much, usually with destination weddings the closer your date gets the less people you will have, hang in there.

My sister is doing the same thing! Her wedding is August 13th, but it's at Mandalay Bay. She had a LOT of people say they were going to go, but only 40 are actually going, which is mostly immediate family.

The cost of a wedding on LI is amazing, and my poor parents have to deal with two daughters getting married 10 months apart!! My sister loves Vegas and wanted to get married there. It certainly changes things up a bit! (But it's still very costly having it in Vegas....her wedding is as much as mine, and I'm having 3x as many people).

Good luck and have lots of fun planning!!!

My sis got married at the same place and actually had a bunch of people go!!!

I agree with don't worry b/c as the date gets closer alot of these 'definite yes' people will find a reason they cant go... too expensive, cant get off of work, etc.

Also since you haven't booked yet maybe if you can garuntee a higher # of people they will come down more on the price per plate?
