My mom made these books for my sons!!! Ive been working on the pages on the inside and she made the actual book..I think she did a fantastic job , I just got them in the maill..so Im so excited!!!! I think they came out so cute!

I did watch the interview with Brad Pitt, he amazes me..and Im glad someone is stepping up trying to do something. Im doing all I can, but I definately dont have the funds Brad Pitt has or the leverage..so God bless him. When they were in Ethiopia and it showed the man dying on the bed..that killed me. My sons had to have watched their parents die like that, wither away into nothing from AIDS, it just kills me. I signed the ONE letter that is going around..so we'll know what comes of it on July 8th. If Brad pitt wants to adopt anyone..I wish hed adopt me!

You have to feel so good, seeing what they come from, and what you are going to be able to provide for them. I bet they are going to be the most appreciative children

The life books are like baby books, or scrapbooks, a keepsake of the beginning of this journey into adoption..it has when I first saw them..pictures theyve sent me, letters theyve sent me, just the whole journey. Then Ill have pictures from when we first see each other and all of their 'firsts'..first day meeting grandma and grandpa, first day of american school, first bike ride, frist yankee game , etc. its a really cool book..ive found some awesome adoption scrapbooking supplies!
I just wish I had more to give them materialistically, with Dex and I separateing, money is going to be terribly tight and I dont know Im going to pull this off..I wanted them to have everything..especially a game cube..doesnt that sound silly..I can afford the game cube, but not the 50 dollar games that go with it..maybe once I get settled I know they will be better off with me then where they are, but it would been nicer if Dex was still in the picture..jerk

While I'm not a parent, I would think it's understandable to want to give your kids everything - and while I can see your frustration at not being able to provide all the material goods you'd like - the biggest and best gift you can give is your heart - and it's clear they can already feel your love.
Yours is an amazing story and I feel lucky that you have posted it on this site so we all can participate in it.
. . . and as a kid i HATED computer/electronic games - still do. . . I always preferred kicking a soccer ball around. . . so don't feel bad!
