I started my biking routine yesterday. Fh bought me a mountain bike and I ride into babylon village and back, normally its like a 30 minute ride. But I am not used to it and the bones in my lower butt where I sit on the seat are sooooo sore I can barely walk. I managed to ride today, but was in serious pain. Anyone ever get this? Does it go away, or any tricks to make it go away sooner. By the way, riding is awesome it is so beautiful out that you forget you're exercising.

Re: my sore butt
This is EXACTLY why I stay away from the bike at the gym!! Two minutes on that thing and I feel like my butt and lower thighs are going to fall off!!!

Re: my sore butt
as a bike rider, just suggest-you wait at least 2-3 days so that you are much less sore the next time you attempt to ride, that way it gives muscle recovery time (this is when it builds)...but of course do other body parts strength/cardio while you wait...
