My special stepdad

My real dad is a real a#$hole and my step dad who has been married to my mom for 10 years now is amazing to me. He is so excited about the wedding, its cute, he tells everyone. Anyway. I am having my mother only walk me down the aisle, but I wanted to do a special dance w/ my stepdad and all the father daughter songs dont go b/c he did not know me when I was a little girl. We have a different relationship. If you could help me think of any songs that would be good for us I would really appreciate it.'TIA

oh I wish I could remember things.....My memory is so bad!!!!! There was a thread on this already....a couple of weeks ago......there are a bunch of actual 'stepdad' songs out there that were mantion in the thread!!! I can't believe I don't remember any of it. Try to do a search and see if you find it on here. HTH

Okay I just found the most perfect song for my step dad, the words say it all and I didn't want a slow mushy song. Its Kind and Generous by Natalie Merchant. I am going to call him and play it for him right now, he'll probably cry.

That is sooo nice that your step-dad is being such a great 'dad' to you!!!! I'm glad you found a special song for him.
