My Target registry is GONE!! Two hours of wasted time!

So, I caved in and said we could have a Target Registry. We spent two hours there last week scanning items, blah blah blah. When I had in the gun, the girl says 'It should take five minutes for it to log in' Well, five, ten minute later, I am still not in the system. I stop by the next day and I am told 'our system is down, it did go through, but it is not 'THERE' yet.

Well, it has been over a week, and it is still not 'there'! I am soo bummed because we really found some things that we like!

Do you think it is worth doing over, or skipping Target all together?

Target's registry is crap. I would skip it. Your experience is only an example of the problems with Target registries.

i think if you found stuff there that you liked you should go back..i registered there because i didn't want to go overboard with pricey items for my guests..i didn't like it as much as BBB because they weren't as personable but they had cool stuff for cheap!!

2 hrs anit bad considering what i witnessed at fotruoff once... couple with parents where there for at least 5 hours.... the gun died and ruined their regeistry. they had a print out and had to rescan everything...they were pissed but i think they got compensated for their troubles

That really sucks. Have you thought about Bed bath and Beyone or Linens and things??

I've heard some horror stories with Macys too.

I personally would not go back there since there are a lot of other places you could register at that aren't too pricey. (BB&B or LNT) I can imagine your frustration!! Good luck wherever you attempt to register again!

I've heard so many nightmare stories about Target's registry. I would go elsewhere.

Thanks for the advice ladies!! Do they carry appliances- like blenders and toasters, at BB&B? I guess I just liked Target because they seem to have everything in one place- but I guess that convience comes with a price!

I will check out the two other stores you all mentioned!! Thanks!

go to bed bath & beyond - great stuff. Then you can go to Macy's or Fortunoff as a second registry.

I just decided to bail on my Target registry, the day before I was supposed to give all my info to my sisters for the shower.
I had a couple of bad experiences while registering and when I tried to follow up.
I decided that if it was going to be as frustrating for my family and friends as it was for me, then it wasn't worth it.
I decided to go to the other side of the spectrum and created a registry at Williams Sonoma. I also have one at LNT.

Not for nothing, but why register at Target? True, you should have a variety of items in terms of cost for people to choose from, but most stuff from Target you could by yourself. And I've never heard one good thing about Target's bridal registries.
