My thermostat blew in my mustang=(

And I'm supposed to be teaching right now. So now I can't teach because the car's got problems, but I also can't fix the car cause I have no money. But I need the car to make the money to fix the car I think I'm going to scream.

Awwww that stinks. Does your Fiancee know how to fix cars? Replacing the thermostat isnt that hard...

sorry to hear that.

I remember back when I had my mustang and she broke I was wanted to trash that thing so many times. Kept hanging on to it cause it was a silver anniversary version.. finally gave up and traded it in!

Ok, got my dad to change the thermostat, and it's not that, although I needed that, too. It's the water pump I'm so frustrated right now I want to cry. Now I have to take it in to get fixed and lose almost an entire week's worth of pay I think I'm going to cry. I have no money as it is and my teaching job (in my school) only pays me once a month, so I haven't even gotten a paycheck yet and won't until October 1st My private lessons are my only source of income until then and I've already lost over a hundred dollars just today from this stupid piece of crap car I think I'm going to cry.

It's a 95 Mustang. The warranty literally ran out about 3 months ago (I bought it in 2000). When I bought it, the transmission and engine were replaced, but not all the other parts that go along with them. So now, even though there's only 60,000 miles on the engine and transmission, everything else has 105,000 miles on it. So I guess I really can't complain, it's just that a car is so incredibly crucial for my job that when it goes, it takes everythign else with it. Thanks for letting me vent.

my dad did the same for me when i overheated my car and melted my engine into a solid huunk of metal a few years back....it was a mess.
but the men at the garage were very impressed with my handiwork i think - they had never seen anyone do that to an engine before!!!

Ok, well, it's a complete SHOCKER that I even looked down to the temperature gauge today to see that the car was VERY hot! I'm so useless when it comes to cars. The most technical I get is pumping my own gas. I usually ignore all the other things on the dashboard and wait for JT or my father to yell at me. That's when I know it's time to get something fixed.

me too!!!!
i once had the threads showing on my tire and my dad freaked out. i was like 'is that bad? you mean i can't drive back upstate like that?'

luckily my car now has all sorts of lights on the dashboard to help me out!!!

if you're still in that area though, and need help with your car, tom's brither is amazing with them!!! he might be able to help you out if you need it!
