I had a tramatic day. Today is Steve's birthday and I went to Michael's to get him a frame for a pic of the baby for his desk, and then to the bakery to get him a cake. I get out of the bakery and go to start the car and it won't turn over. So I keep trying and start freaking out the baby is in the back seat screaming, I call Steve at work hysterical, meanwhile he's over an hour away, he tries to get my BIL( he works from home) to come and get us. I call my sister to tell her and see if she knows where her hubby is. Finally my BIL calls and says he is on his way. I decide to try one more time and the car starts right away. It is then I realize that the few times I tried to start the car that I hadn't put in the clutch This is what happens when you have no sleep When I called Steve to tell him not to be mad. He is like don't worry calm down and jut go home. when I got home I kept kissing Damien and telling him I was sorry his mommy is an idiot. He kept smiling like a little goofball without a care in the world. Steve sent me an e-mail before that said he's glad I'm OK but that I will never live this down.

Re: My Tramatic Afternoon
Better that you made a tiny mistake and everyone is fine, rather than to have to deal with a broken car or sick/hurt baby at holiday time.

We all do stuff like this. It is nothing to beat yourself up over. I am glad everything was okay though.

Re: My Tramatic Afternoon
When my friend's son was 9 mos old she locked him in her truck by accident. She was just exhausted and trying to do too many things at once. He just sat in his car seat smiling while she cried and waited for the police. Don't worry about it Stacey, as long as you and Damien are both fine. And tell your DH not to even go there- or he will have the LIW women on his back!!

Thank God everything turned out ok -- you are not an idiot!!! I've burned a pot w/boiling water in it twice while sleep deprived!
This is why I don't want to learn how to drive Joe's cars!!!

You'll have a great story to tell Damien's girlfriends later on
