my turn at INVITE blues

so FH is designing our invite, and each time he works on it we get into a huge fight
he ends up screaming at me that what I want is boring and lame, and he wants more color and something fun-er.
I dont think 'fun-er' is the way to go with wedding invitation, not only it doesnt look elegant to me, but its so not my style or our wedding's vibe.
last nite we had another invite-scream-fast, and I am just so sick of it! I told him that this is his place to express himself in the wedding, so if he really wants to make it more colorful and fun, then he should go for it. so he got even more mad at me and said that he is not working on it any more, cause he've been working and re-working it for months and he is just sick of it.
I dont understand why something that suppose to bring us together causes so much drama

cant post pix of the almost final version (which I LOVE, and he cant stand), cause FH forbade me. said its his mental property. artists......

I'm sorry to hear your arguing. I bet they'll look great either way!! Hang in there!

This is why from the beginning I said that I would NEVER design my own invitations - as your FH knows it is so much harder to design something for yourself vs someone else! Hence my STDs are still not designed!

But I would go over the the look/feel of the wedding with him and explain that you want something that fits in with that look - and maybe he could do something with more color for the table #'s , that could go with the flower colors or something. . . . .

tnx Marie!!! thats a great advice! originally we were not planning on doing table #'s, cause RH provides those, but now with ur suggestion I think it can be a great way for him to have fun with it. cause he had a blast designing the STD.
I will mention this to him today.
