My Uncle is a big baby (Vent included!!!)
ETA: please dont quote.. i have lurkers out there at this point im sure!!
So..
it's just me and my mom.. so i figured my mom would walk me down the aisle...
well.. my uncle calls me one night a few months back from a religious concert that he was attending and said that while he was there he felt that the holy spirit led him to call me and ask to walk me down the aisle. So fine..
him and his wife (my aunt of 20 yrs now)... just officially signed divorce papers.. and have been planning on it for awhile now but didn't because their son (my younger cousin) had Hodgkins.. so they held out and thankfully he is in remission now.
So long story a short...(or not..lol)
he has this woman he's seeing who he met.. he lives in FL she lives in Texas i think... and he asked to bring her. Knowing my aunt was trying to come up i thought that might be akward.. plus he only knows her a short time and we are already way over what we were supposed to invite...so we told him we would see after we do the invites.. we wound up sending him an invite just addressed to him..
so my mom writes to him to say that my cousin who also wanted to bring a friend can't because we already cut who we could and just cant add any more ppl.
He responds.. fine i'll tell him but i'm bringing someone!! i don't care.. i'll pay..but i'm def. bringing a guest. well.. my mom didnt like that and i felt it was rude to not ask but to tell us..
so she told him.. no we cant right now..
had he asked nicely.. maybe we would have said.. wait until the RSVP cut off and lets see how many guests we have.
didnt hear from him..
yesterday i get his response..
'declines with regret'
WAT?? r u fffin kidding me??? His oldest son is up here staying with us and he called him and flipped and my uncle told him he doesnt understand and hed have to call and discuss it with us..
well i am sorry but there is no discussion right now.. u go from walking me down the aisle to not coming cause u cant bring some1 from another state that u've only just started seeing???
i seriously hope he doesnt end it with this woman and regret missing his only niece's wedding just cause he couldn't bring a date!!!
