My uncle's on full life support now...

Sarah that is absolutely awful news. Don't let this keep you from enjoying the beginning of your new married life alone with your DH though...I'm sure it would break your uncle's heart if you did.

Aww, honey I'm so sorry to see this-- I actually am just reading it now for the first time!!! I just don't understand what is going on lately!!!! (hence my post on 07 about our friend's 8 month old- who the doctors say will pass away very shortly from liver and kidney failure). These things are inconceivable and horrible-- And the timing of this makes it even more painful and sad.

I'm terribly sorry-- my thoughts and prayers are with you, your uncle and your entire family. Please TRY as hard as you can to enjoy your day- you only get this once in a lifetime- and enjoy your HM, you only get that once too!! He would never want something like this to ruin that-- no one would want to take away the joy that you are supposed to feel on your wedding day. It's going to be hard, I know first hand, but you CAN do it!! Just keep a positive frame of mind! I had to try and enjoy myself at my E-party which was three days after my sister's fiance left It was so hard but I was able to put it aside for just ONE day-- to enjoy the day that Vinny and I deserved... I'm here for you always sweetie...

You need to enjoy your wedding day, that is how your uncle would have wanted it. My grandmother was very ill the weekend of my engagement party and my family was actually lying to me so that I could enjoy my party. My MIL was in town through the Monday after the party, my grandmother passed away that night. I think your uncle will be with you on your special day just like my grandma was at my engagement party in her own way.
