OK ladies... My invites, for some reason, were really important to me and once I saw Vera Wang's Invite collection I just HAD to have them. No matter how many other companies I looked at-- I didn't love anything as much as hers.
We registered for a lot of her things and we have the entire 'Love Knots' collection so it kind of became an unofficial theme to our wedding. Our flutes and cake cutters are the love knots too so I decided to put them on my invites. I picked a very simple and elegant invite... I got them at Inklinations in Manhasset (they were good to work with) and they are a registered Vera vendor.
I can't wait to take them to the calligrapher and have them done!!!!!!
Dani i kow when u foudn these invites you were on cloud nine. They came out great!!!! Congrats!!! Im so happy for you.... ur day is getting super close

The beading is beautiful! As is the wording, that is such a different and lovely way to word an invitation.

I know, I was so happy (and at the same time worried lol) when I found them. Happy because they were perfect yet worried because they were pricey-- NOT crazy pricey but up there. They were worth it though. You only live once and for me- I'll only get married once

Pretty! That is the wording we'll be using on our invites too (if I can get it to fit! If I can't it'll be a slight variation on that).

And thanks so much everyone-- especially for the comments on the wording-- I really worked hard to find the right wording that I loved and once I saw that one-- which is not very common-- I fell for it!! Thanks so much!!
And YES, the beading or dotting around the edges--- LOVE that!!! It's embossed so you can feel it on the invite-- SO nice!
When they arrived at the house all I wante to do was HOLD THEM

they came out beautifully! and don't worry about price.....I tried to tell FH, this is the first glimpse your guests will receive of your wedding, I really think an invite sets the tone.....and yours definitely have an elegant tone!! congrats!!!
btw, who are you using for calligraphy? I might use Inkspun since his prices are really low, but I think it's computerized calligraphy, so I'm not sure if I'd prefer for it to be done by hand.

yeah it was funny when I first started pricing invites, I fell in love with one made by Elite, it was like $1000.....I went home told FH, and he's like 'invites shouldn't cost more than $200'.....I love how he all of a sudden knows what invites cost, but yet didn't go with me not once to look at invites!! Men, ya gotta love 'em!!
