My very first true surprise party!

My very first true surprise party!

I had surprise 16th, 18th and 20th birthday parties, all of which I figured out.

I had 3 surprise bridal showers, all of which I knew about.

I had 2 surprise baby showers, which I knew about.

And today I had surprise baby shower #3, and I was completely BLOWN AWAY!

My class threw me the SWEETEST, most special and sincere party I could have ever asked for. Almost all of my children's parents were there, as well as former students' parents, and I got beautiful gifts.

My FAVORITE gift was a book of advice that every child wrote a page for. Some of the advice was...

'Poopy diapers - let someone else change them!'

'Hug your baby a lot'

'Let your baby wear nail polish'

'When a baby cries it's hungry or wet. Try hungry first.'

'Read lots of stories and finish them even if the baby looks like it's sleeping'

It was a WONDERFUL day, and I'm exhausted but so very happy!!!

Jenn, that's so cute! The advice is just so adorable!!

Was today your last day?

Re: My very first true surprise party!

Claud, that's what I've been doing... writing out thank you notes and finding that there just aren't enough words to express how I feel!

Trish, no, today's not my last day. I have 9 more to go. My last day is 11/7.

Here's another piece of advice I got that made me crack up...

'Get the baby out of your belly, wash HER, put pajamas on HER and then you're done.'
Does this little boy know something about my baby's gender that I don't know??

Awwww Jenn that is so sweet! Whoever had the idea to have the kids write down advice was a genius!!! What a terrific idea. Something to keep forever. You must be a wonderful teacher to have such special students and parents.
