As per Espo22's suggestion (thanks Denise!) I tried the Virtual Nail that Dashing Diva offers (as of yet there is only one location on LI and it's in East Hills on Glen Cove Rd right off the LIE). It's basically like a press-on nail but they use special glue-gel and it's supposed to last 2 weeks. They measure, shape and apply the nails for you, then your choice of polish. I got it Friday and so far the nails are super strong, thin, and natural looking. I'd definitely recommend it for those who don't want to commit to wraps/UV gels/acrylic for DOW / honeymoon.
PS - they come off with acetone and supposedly there is no damage to the natural nail whatsoever.

yes, please let us know. I'd be interested to see if there really is no damage to your natural nail. I don't like any kind of wrap or tips on my nails and I go for my weekly manicure but I was thinking of making them a little more glamorous for the wedding but don't want to put anything on them that will ruin my natural nail.

I did the Virtual Nails for my wedding/honeymoon...they came out great. When I get my pro pics ill see if they happen to be in some pics. They look very real too! Just to give you the heads up too its an extra $5 if you want french and an extra $5 if you want the silver line with the french.

Re: My Virtual Nail experience.... vendor rave!
I had this done a few times and I always got tons of compliments! they come out really nice and they do not damage your nails.. The few times I had it done it did not last two weeks (more like one) but they gave me spare nails and glue so I can re-attach nails myself if need be. I am either going to use these nails or just go natural for my wedding because I HATE the way the wraps ruin my nails!
