Is costing me more than I thought - I had wanted to keep it around 15k - but I'm already a little above that and have yet to book a videographer or honeymoon

i see girls spending a buuuuttttload on their 'honeymoon' WHY!!??????
unless youre going to hawaii for 2 weeks or fiji.. whyyyyyyyyyyyy the heckkk would u spend more than 5 grand(and thats A LOT) to go anywheree?!!

Just do your best to keep the price down. Its hard because there are so many things that you want but really evaluate what your money is going to. Also remember that this is your day and you should have what you want :) Good Luck!!!

we don't plan on spending that much, thinking about a cruise now they are affordable. But were still spending more on the whole thing than I thought it would be I guess I just didn't realize how much things cost. I should have looked into it more...

ITA...FH and I are looking to rent a timeshare or from a home owner on HomeAway.com, Cyberrentals or VRBO.com... cheaper than the whole resor thing... but really quite nice. And we could do Hawaii in half the price. To be honest, FH won't be around the room so much to enjoy the luxuries...so I won't splurge on them.

Oh yea, I can relate to this post. We set a budget based on what I thought things may come to be. We are doing OK since we have had a few things unexpectadly paid for (thank God). The HM is killer, I feel like when you attach the words 'honeymoon' to things it is automatically more expensive.

weddings are expensive, especially on LI, everything is triple the price. but you have to stick to your budget, i know its tough but try cutting out the little stuff. things like cry packs, slipper baskets, etc, all that stuff adds up and could be saved for activities on the hm or maybe upgrading your dj package.(as an example)

Weddings are big business....as soon as the word wedding is attached to it the price goes up!! its crazy...i'm trying my best to do alot of DIY projects to help with the cost. I am deciding on what's important to me ....those will be the areas where i will spend the most. All the others i will just have to do with the bare necessities.

i think about it all the time, it makes me laugh the original number we came up with for our budget, before we really booked anything, that # is basically how much our rh is costing us

I'm so sorrry!! It's sooo easy, especially on this site, to get so many extra's. Maybe you can downgrade some packages you have if you really want to stay on budget?
