Hi everyone,

I`ve been reading all your encouraging and advice emails and decided I must join in.

My wedding is September 15, 2002 at the Swan Club. Please let me know if anyone has had their wedding there or know of people that has had their wedding there. Any complaints????

I`m on a tight budget so I will need advise for florists.

I`ve heard of Glenmar Studios (photography) and I have an appointment with next week.

It`s pretty stressful planning our wedding, but I am looking forward to it.

Does anyone know what kind of flowers are in season this time of the year? Or if you did get married in September, what kind of flowers did you have.

I have been to two weddings at the SWAN CLUB....its a lovely location and the food was very good....great choice CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!

I am getting married there too

In August of 2002. I have been to a wedding there and the food was very good. Call your banquet manager and ask him if you could go there for lunch. My FI and I did that and we went there for a complimentary lunch.
I spoke with Glenmar Studios but did not book with them. We are on a tight budget too and I thought they were a little more than we wanted to spend. We haven't done anything about flowers yet. We looked at some places but everything is so expensive. I am not sure yet what we will do about that.

Glenmar advice

Although I am not getting married at the Swan Club, we did look into it and I can't begin to tell you how lovely it is (although I guess you already know since you booked it!!). However, we did look into close to 10 photographers and in the end, we booked with Glenmar. We thought their prices were very reasonable, in comparison with the 9 others we visited. Their work is really great, and we felt very comfortable with them. They customize a package for you, so be sure to be very specific in what you want. Our initial estimate, without 2 parent albums, was $2,100. However, the parent albums would be close to $800 if we changed our minds after the fact, so we included them, and our total package came to be $2,400. We are very excited and can't wait. Sometime before Christmas, we are going in for our engagement shoot. It's included in our package at no charge.

Hi there! We are getting married at the Swan Club on Saturday afternoon in the Garden Room, the one downstairs... We met with Glenmar a few weeks ago we are deciding between them and one other person my aunt used.. they have pretty good packages and seem to be willing to work with you.. I just was not so crazy about the sales lady.. a bit pushy.. I was at the Swan Club last saturday to drop off the next payment, and there was a wedding almost getting started, everything looked just great.. good luck to you, maybe we can help each other plan stuff.. my email address is [email protected] if you want to ask me any other stuff!!

When we first went to the Swan Club I fell in love with it. But then friends were telling that we should shot around, which was a real big mistake. Because things started to get complicated and confusing.

But I went back to the Swan Club and it was perfect for me.

Our flowers for Sept

Our wedding is in 10 days and we chose real deep colors. The girls dresses are a victorian mauve so we chose a 'burnt' brown rose. The colors really tie well together. Our centerpieces are ivy (green and white) with mauve colored heather (or something very similar to heather) and the two different roses in it. Fall is a great time to go with rich deep colors - although spring must be great with all the floral pastels!
