My wedding dress?

So girls, What do you think? I just purchased the dress yesterday and today I feel a bit different about it. I like it a lot but I am not in love with it. I was thinking once the day came and I was all put together I would feel transformed. Anyone felt like this before?

I will be perfectly honest - it is a gorgeous dress but it doesn't scream BRIDE to me. If that's what you're going for, then it's perfect because it's elegant and looks just wonderful on you. If it fits in with your vision, then I say stick with it because it really is very nice.

But if you're looking for something more bridal, then i would go back to the store and get something different. I don't think you can transform a dress like that into bridal. If you didn't feel it when you had it on with the veil, I'm not sure you'll get that feeling on the day.

I think you are right...I do like the dress a lot but I don't feel like a bride in it. I am getting married in a farm on the first of August...Hot! HOt! day! I didn't want anything to puffy or anything screaming bride because it's a very simple wedding. Maybe it's because it's not really a white dress...hmmm?

im feeling the same way. Try not to look at it too much. But if you really want to keep looking. most places you have 24 hours to change your mind. so call right away.

ETA: i think it is really pretty and looks great on you! Mines not white either, but when you are away from all the other dresses in the shop it will be different. IMO

I'm going through the same thing! I was so anxious to get my dress! And then you leave and see other dresses, and there are SO many beautiful dresses out there! If you're anything like me..(perfectionsism..) than you will want the perfect dress! I think everyone would! A million other dresses look GREAT in a magazine, on a model, etc. But only a handful are suitable for YOU and YOUR type of wedding. The dress looks like it was made for you! It's beautiful and I think it would work great in the setting for your wedding. But if you're havign sencond thoughts, go back and try it on again, you'll know once you get it on again, and you should be able to apply your deposit to another dress at that shop! Best of luck!

I think the dress is perfect for something like this! But you're right, maybe if it was in white you'd feel differently. If you want something simple, also try the J.Crew wedding gowns. They're gorgeous but very relaxed and simple.

I think its beautiful and looks great on you, but if you don't absolutely LOVE it, then I think you should look into what your options are as far as getting something else...

I love the dress!

Also my friends got married at the QCFM last year and it was one of the best weddings I've ever been to... they got some amazing pics too!

I think its stunning but its all how you feel in it. I went through the same thing. I tried on a dress that i liked but i wasn't in love with. I decided to think about it and when i went back on to try it again it was discontinued .. everything happens for a reason, it wasn't meant to be

I think the dress is fantastic.

Don't think that you HAVE to be 'Miss Bride'...my dress isn't bridal either-actually, I originally ordered a 'bride-ey' ballgown, and then after 2 months went back and did a re-select b/c #1 I fell out of love with my dress and #2 it wasn't me, and I knew it. So my 'new' dress is a blush (yes, pink) mermaid gown. It screams red carpet over bride, by a landslide..

So don't TRY to be anything, stay true to YOU and your dream dress, wether it's bride-y or not. If it feels right and you don't have to convince yourself, then there's your dress

And you will look beautiful on your day in this dress, or any other dress. Good luck!

I think it looks beautiful! You look like a bride to me. I think you should get your makeup done and your hair trial, then go home and try on the dress. Maybe once you have the whole image put together you will feel more like a bride. Also you're getting married in the summer, I wouldn't do puffy either cause you want to try to stay cool and be able to dance in it.

You may feel like that becuase you see sooo many different styles and you get second thoughts.. But I'm sure if you made a decision on it, thats the one!! I feel like that too and I ordered another dress and I feel like its a waste of $$..

Its amazing!! Its soooo pretty!!

I tried on the dress today again... and I put on some make up, added some jewelry, did my hair and i felt like I was a BRIDE. I didn't have a veil but with all the positive feedback I've been receiving from you ladies. I feel a lot better. I am going to give my mother the dress to hold so I don't look at it every second. lol.

I kept looking at pics of my dress and at one point I wasn't in love with it. Watching 'Say Yes To The Dress' wasn't much help either. After I went back for my second fitting I fell in love all over again.

It's gorgeous! Don't worry about it. You look very elegant.
