My wedding dress smells...

FH picked up my wedding dress from FBIL's house where it has been since last September. I opened and the bag...and O M G!!!! It reeksss of musk and fish. I seriously wanna puke. I am airing it out now. They kept it in their basement in a closet all this time. I have no idea why is smells so horrible. acck

Oh no!! If you can, and I know this sounds funny, but at petco or stores like that, they sell neutralizer to remove unwated smells from the air, maybe you should give it a try??

Its a good idea but I am too paranoid to put anything on the dress. I think I will keep airing it out until its time for alterations. I am hoping it comes back fish free!

When it gets a little nicer out hang it outside for 30 mins or so. I would sunbathe next to it while doing this. Then buy those mothball ball things you get for storage places and put it in the closet with the dress. If worse comes to worse Febreze the heck out of it.

Its what we did for my gf.

Thanks ladies!! i am gonna slowly air it out day by day and I am also gonna replace the dress bag. The bag is what smells the most. Its so gross. I couldn't resist trying my dress on....so I smelled like it too. ack.
