My wedding has grown insane!!!

I did an absolute final count and we are up to 309 Adults and 7 children. The worst part about it is that my FI only has 80 people of that count. She has a very small family but mine more than makes up for it. I can't believe we are over 300 people.

Do you think 100 no's is likely?? 180-200 would be my ideal number.

I really don't know but I hope so. My minimum is 200 so I don't want to go below that. We really can't afford more than 240, any more than that my parents offered to cover (thank God).

The old standby (20%) says you will have 240 people are your wedding, but this number is not set in stone.

It may be possible to get 100 nos - I was scared that we would have 150 people (that would be 20% saying no, roughly 36 people). Luckily we got 49 people saying no so far (we are waiting on 3 more people, who may also say no), which is 27% of our guestlist. So with 300 people, it is definitely possible to get 100 people to say no.

This makes me feel so much better. I have 9 cousins from one aunt and uncle. All married. That is 20 people right there, but a lot of them live in the Oneonta area so I am hoping they will decline. But how do you only invite the ones that are close...you know. So they all got an invite. LOL!

We have 270 on the guest list - I always remember laughing when ppl would say they all those ppl on their guest lists. See what happens when you laugh at others

You could definitely get 100 no's - we did. We invited around 280 people. Some of them we expected wouldn't come, but there were a lot of surprising no's We even sent out STDs to pretty much everyone, so I guess you never know.

You never know....we expected certain people to be there...but than when the invites went out some of them had other obligations....we invited 341 guests and ended up with 260...

I've heard the most no's are the 'and guests'. We invited 125 & wound up with 98. I'm horrible at percentages so I couldn't tell you what that works out to be

Yeah that is what happened on FH's side. My side all RSVP-ed yes with the exception of a few 'and dates'
