My Wedding Review!

Hi everyone! We had a beautiful day yesterday...the weather, the ceremony and every part of the day was perfect! It was just as I had imagined it throughout the year and a half of planning! Like everyone else always says, the day flew by way too fast. My new husband and I did stay together the whole evening, ate a little bit of everything, and took it all in. The day was just perfect! Here are some brief reviews of our vendors.
The Vanderbilt Mansion A+ The entire planning process was excellent. The staff was extremely organized and helpful as we planned our day. Carolyn, the banquet manager, is wonderful and was always such a pleasure to work with. The staff worked extremely hard to make the day run smoothly and they provided outstanding service. The mansion and the grounds were so clean and everything looked perfect! Our guests raved about the service, the food, and the mansion itself. They were all so impressed and many said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! I was so happy!
Photography by Verdi A+ Our photographers were so wonderful to work with. They were pleasant to talk to and were open to any requests we had. My husband and I were extremely happy with the engagement pictures, and know that they do beautiful work! Both photographers stayed through the whole wedding and took so many pictures! They were completely unobtrusive and took almost all of our posed photos before the ceremony so we could be at our cocktail hour. I highly recommend them!
Candlelite Video We obviously haven't seen the video yet, but the videographer was very polite and pleasant, and was in the background all night long. We had some specific requests and he seemed to film everything we asked for. I have seen videos by this company and they do very nice work!
Commodore Coach Limousines A+ Kevin was very nice and helpful when we called to book his company. He knew someone who had an old Silver Cloud Rolls Royce (which was really nice!) and he even came in his limo and gave us a ride out to see the other car. They were on time, the cars were spotless, and they were extremely pleasant!
Flower Michele A+ I have read so many rave reviews of John's work...and I agree...he is wonderful. His work is just beautiful, and he is so patient, creative, and intuitive. I showed him a photo and he came up with exactly what I pictured in my mind! He can work within your budget and and is full of ideas and suggestions. Again...I highly recommend Flower Michele!
Invitations (Sweet Nut Hut) A+ Cathy was so helpful and had unending patience! I loved my invitations and our favors!
Stan Wiest Music Co. (DJ and Harp) A The harpist and DJ were very good. The harp sounded beautiful outside. The DJ played almost every song that I put on my play list. He tried very hard to accomodate all of my requests, but seemed a little frazzled. Everyone was dancing, and seemed to be having a great time!
Bridal Suite in Patchogue A I was very pleased with the service, especially with Irene, who helped me try on gowns for over two hours! She was sweet and very helpful. The alterations on my gown came out perfect. Despite the long wait for fittings, I was very happy with my experience at The Bridal Suite.
I think that's about it! It was such a happy day! All of the details that I worked so hard on really made a difference. Everyone loved the family photos on the piano, the programs that my cousin made, the wish bowl, the fans we bought for the outdoor ceremony, and our cake topper (the letter 'C' for our last name, made of sugar paste flowers). Now we're off to Bermuda for a week!
