my 'zen' themed surprise shower **with a few pics!!**
hi girls!!
wow, i'm so excited to be the BOTW!!!
i wanted to share with you a few pictures of the surprise shower my mom, moh, bm and fmil had for me on may 10th!!
it was themed after my love for all things peaceful and 'zen' and they took this love of mine and ran with it!! my moh bought me peonies, made the most amazing punch - sooooo yummy!! and designed gorgeous invites!! my other bm bought sushi and all of these japanese pastries and desserts (which by the way...if you've never had a vanilla or mango moshi ...omg, find them and eat them...!!) she also bought paper lanterns and fans. my fmil made all the amazing food!! and flew up from NC to be there!! (she also bought our flatware and our first setting of china!) and my MOM...my mom thought of everything! besides surprising me (i mean i was BLOWN away!!! no idea!!) she baked me an amazing cake with cherry blossoms and bamboo on it! and she even had lucky bamboo favors, a fountain on the table, there was even this really cool music in the background...all japanese and flutes!! very very cool. i was so blown away, i felt so loved and so happy!! it was absolutely one of the top three days of my life!!
anyway, i'll share more pics when i get them! but in the meantime, these are the ones my aunt sent me!
by the way...i had a dress and everything!!!!, but my mom said 'mandy! just be comfy and relaxed and wear your veil and have some punch!' it was so relaxing, i didn't even care that i didn't do my hair!![]()
these were the lucky bamboo favors my mom was growing right under my nose and i never saw them!!!
my chair, waiting for me to get there!! they even had a veil for me to wear! you can see some of the paper lanterns around! so so pretty!!
my bow-quet! thank GOD my aunt didn't make me the dreaded hat!
you can't see it, but when i walked in the door, my heart jumped out of my chest! SO not expecting the group of people!!
isn't my mom amazing with her decorations?!?!
my mom made me a gorgeous cake! vanilla cake, chocolate filling and cream cheese icing! so much for my diet that day!

by the way, my moh bought my favorite flowers! peonies!! she's the best!
