I used Tums and it worked great.. I bought Mylanta but I never drank it because I wasnt sure if it was safe. My tums worked everytime so I never had to take Mylanta.

When I had bad heartburn following some surgery I found that applesauce was also good for quelling the burning, so if a Tums isn't helping you might want to try a small bowl of applesauce - it might work for you too.

My doctor told me either are OK while pregnant. But since I have a history of reflux disease, etc., the Tums just don't seem to cut it. But they're definitely better than nothing!

Tums - but there came a time when I needed Zantac 75 towards the end, but got the ok from my ob first

I have really bad HB and although I'm not preggo- I recommend drinking two big glasses of water after eating- it helps me so much!
