Re: Mystery Book Suggestions!!
I LOVE Ian Rankin novels. Rankin is a Scottish author. He writes about a lonely, constantly drunk Edinburgh detective named 'Rebus' -- some of the books were made into BBC TV shows of the same name, starring John Hannah (the little fella who reads the sad Auden poem in 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'). The mysteries are great -- tons of twists and turns, plus Rebus is always getting into trouble with his superiors in the police station, with his ex-wife, etc.
