Maybe some of you out there can relate to my fair skin dilemma...
I am light everywhere...hair, eyes, and, of course, skin! I was considering tanning before my wedding, but am a bit hesitant because of the damage it does to your skin in the long run. Has anyone tried Mystic Tanning? Would you recommend it?

Re: Mystic Tanning???
I am also fair skinned and want some color. Never heard of mystic tan but now I'm curious. I also saw a sign the other day about airbrush tanning . Could this be the same thing?

It is the same thing. There are two different ways. One is a person spraying you and the other is in a machine.
I would love to hear from someone who has done it.

I've tried it in the machine - it makes you orange, especially on your knuckles and in between your fingers.

Re: Mystic Tanning???
i tried it and was very happy with the results. my mother, who is extremely fair with freckles, looked great when she tried it to. not fake-looking at all. the only issue is it is hard to get the feet right.

Re: Mystic Tanning???
I used to do the mystic tan all the time--it really comes out great if you do it correctly....BUT for my wedding I would not do it because it can come off when you sweat. For my wedding I am going to do the airbrush tan, which comes out really great. Im very fair also--I am going to do an airbrush tan trial first.

I tried it and did not like it. Every inch of me was orange. If I sweat it was all over my clothes. YUK!

I also had a bad experience with Mystic Tanning. Great in theory, but in the end, still a spray on tan. Mine rubbed off on my clothes when I got a little hot and ruined things... wouldn't recommend. Espically in your wedding dress.

Re: Mystic Tanning???
I mystic tan once a week during the summer. I did it last year too, and I haven't had any problems with it staining clothes.I am pretty fair and don't tan quickly so it works for me. I like the results, it's pretty even everywhere but your hands and feet. They have barrier cream to help even that out...but I wouldn't do it for my wedding. I think I'm going to test the airbrush tan sometime soon...
For you wedding, maybe try the airbrush ahead of time to see if you like it. Good luck!!

Re: Mystic Tanning???
I never tried Mystic Tanning, but I did get an airbrush tan for my wedding and it looked fabulous! I did a trial the week before and it lasted about 5-6 days and never got on my clothes. I am fair and all of my friends commented how nautrally sun-kissed I looked! I highly highly recommend it! I went to Paul Labreque in the city. It's a little pricet, but IMO, totally worth it.
