N Merrick - Needs work - Excellent Price - If you can do the work

I am not sure what the house looks like, but if you dont mind a little hard work, here it is

I wonder how much needs to be done. It looks ok on the outside but it does say appearance: poor.

I've seen 'Mint' and 'Excellent' houses that need more interior work...makes me think the 'poor' rating is structural...which could be a nightmare.

From the pictures it looks like it just needs paint and it probably needs the kitchen and baths updated

I would say it looks like it has potential but what is concerning me would be the area. I'd have to drive around it b/c someone told me that it borders a more undesirable area.

i agree i saw excellent and mint houses i would have done work too so to see a house listed as poor there has to be some serious work involved because it didnt look that bad. they didnt show the kitchen or the bathroom though so that could be what the problem is

edited to say my house was listed as excellent + and i completely gutted it i poor rated house i might have had to call in the bulldozer

N merrick is a nice area. I dont believe that house is anywhere near the undesireable area. Click on map the property and see where it is located exactly

Oh - see you now...I'm a little unsure...What streets can you go buy (or highways) that is the good sections?

I know Wenscher Park is awesome in N. Merrick!!!

Eta: I don't know how true this is but someone had said to me stay South of the southern state parkway w/ N. merrick -- I'll find out for sure b/c I'm interested too...

Hey Scott, can you find me a house???

We are looking for 3+ bedrooms, 2+ baths, either ONE or TWO floors -- not a mega-split like we have now!! I have twins on the way and can't be humping those stairs all the time. We are looking into Wantagh - good schools, taxes are same as we are paying now.

Any suggestions??? You can live vicariously through me!
