Does anyone else out there bite your nails? Any ideas on how to stop? my wedding is in one month and with work stress too, my hands are just wrecked. Seriously, they are embarassing, I don't what anyone taking pics of them.

Ok coming from an excessive nail biter herself I can't offer much advice however here are a few things that always get me to 'stop'
Think of all the disgusting germs living under your nails everytime you go to bite them. This usually stops me for about a week or so until I forget about it
Ever try that nail polish stuff you put on your nails that tastes really bad? That worked for me when I was young.

I bite my nails really bad, but more often I pick at them. Hearing the germ bit now might get me to stop, ewww! When I paint my nails, I find I don't bite them, because I don't want the polish in my mouth...maybe try that?

I used to bite my nails when I was much younger and the only thing that broke the habit for me was to get my nails done religiously!!!

I always was a nail biter and my mom used to put that gross stuff on my nails to get me to stop but it didnt work.
I gave up and went to tips. That is the only way I can have nice nails and then once my nails grew under the tips, we took the tips off and just put acrylic on top of my real nails. I would suggest doing that.

They have stuff that you actually use for kids that suck their thumb.. Its nasty so if you put that on your nails you sooooo won't do it anymore =)

I use NAILTEK. You can get it at Ulta and CVS sometimes sells it. It is expensive, like 17 dollars a bottle, but it strengthens yoiur nails (really, it does) and helps them to grow. My nails are really weak and always break in the winter, but when I use nailtek, they seem to break A LOT less.
If you don't want to spend that much on nail polish, try Sally Hanson Maximum Growth (daily nail growth program). I believe it comes in a two pack, which is around 6 dollars. One is clear and the other is a nude color. I use this when I don't want to splurge on NailTek. You will notice that your nails will grow like weeds!!!

when i was younger i used to bit them ALLLLL the time ... i started putting on this gross nail polish so i didnt like the taste andddd i got manicures ... which i paid for soooo i never wanted to destroy something i paid for haha

Try Sally Hansens products like the pp said. I used the clear polish that comes in an orange bottle and makes your nails grow in like 5 days. I lost it and couldn't find it when I went to duane reade so I bought the natural nail growth activator also by Sally and it works great. Literally in a weeks time I can actually see the white tips fully on my nails. I also just added fresh garlic to the polish...it helps stimulate growth and don't worry your nails won't stink once it dries. Lol
