Nail Polish

Do you have a color you usually gravitate toward? I find myself with some shade of red practically every week. Sometimes I get my nails done saying to myself 'Anything but red this time...' and lo and behold, come walking out with red AGAIN.

What's your color??

I like coppery browns or bright reds. But whenever I go someplace beachy for vacation I get hot pink

Re: Nail Polish

I usually use ballet slippers in the summer and try all different colors in the winter since I can never find one. I am wearing Fed Up right now. It is a pink clear.

Re: Nail Polish

I usually use avon (since i sell it). I go for dark colors during hte fall/winter like reds or browns.. and pinks/purples in the spring/summer. I'm not one for pale shades cuz they just don't look right on me. Unless its a tan color... pale pink looks bad on me.
i was just looking at the essie colors... don't know if its appropriate, but i like 'fed up' for my wedding french manicure. LOL its a nice color.

OOO i think i'll have 'sweetie pie' for the wedding!!!
do salons use essie? or do all of you just buy it? Seems popular.

Re: Nail Polish

is it in drugstores? or specialty stores like Ulta, Sally beauty supply etc (i haven't been in the makeup aisle in ages, so bear with me!)

Re: Nail Polish

LOL.. you can buy them from the salon, and theres a store in roosevelt field by the burger king entrance, the VERY FIRST store, its a salon and it also sells hair products and nail polish, specifically essie... im not sure if ulta carries essie yet..but you can pretty much BET that any Nail salon in your neighborhood will sell it!

I like rich colors, hate pale colors. Pale colors always look drab and old. In the winter months I like deep reds, tans and browns. In the spring and summer months, I love the pinks, blues lavendars, silvers, etc etc. I like the light colors that have a rich tone (make sense ?) and that have that little sparkle in them, not the 'flat' nailpolish.

Oh, and I dont have to match nails and toes. I used to match all the time, but I really dont care about that anymore.

Im in the mood to go for a manicure/pedicure now !

Re: Nail Polish

After all this cleaning today, I definately need a manicure.

I like marshmellow as the first coat and ballet slippers as the second coat.

I also love swing velvet. Dark color.

Re: Nail Polish

yeah i finally want to go get a professional manicure. If i take care of my nails now then they will be pretty for the wedding. I just feel more girly with pretty nails anyway. I've always just done them myself.. but i wanna go to a salon for a change.
