Nails and Spray Tan - how can I do both?

This is really throwing me off....

If you have your nails done and you get spray tan does it wreck your nails?

If you have a spray tan done can you still get a manicure and pedicure? When they do the scrub for the pedicure will it take off the tan?

How long after doing a spray tan do you have to wait to do a manicure or vise versa?

Is it better to do a spray tan Wed and nails Thus or switch it?

Also can you do them in the same day? My MOH isn't coming in until late Thurs night and wants to do both on Friday, the day of the rehearsal because apparently France doesn't have good nail salons. Can you do that? If so what order do you have to do it in?

So basically I am asking.... how long should you wait between doing both and what order do you have to do it in?

Why dont you call the spray tan place and ask? I dont know the answer to this one...ive never done spray tan before..sorry! i would try to get my nails done the day after though...just a thought!

Thanks... I called about the same day issue for my MOH and she said to do the spray tan first, but then wouldn't the tan come off during the manicure/pedicure? She didn't really seem like she was sure either. But she is just the receptionist.

It won't wreck your nails. . when I had mine done for b pics they put this latex stuff on it and then it just peeled off. . it worked for all of them except one where the latex got a little stuck and looked filmy. . I didn't try to fix it b/c it was just for bpics and I thought it might be worse. .

They told me that you can not get one for 3-4 days after but I don't know why. . i assume it's both bc of the scrub and/or the remover and stuff. . i mean you can't even shower for 24 hours so I guess that makes sense

I would switch it. . or do nails right before. The only thing you need to worry about then is that it will last that long!

I would say the only problem with that is if you are worried about what you are wearing bc you cant really wear any tight, or light colored clothing for quite a few hours. .

This is what I have done in the past...

Get the manicure and pedicure done first, make sure they do not use ANY lotion on your feet and arms/hands than do the spray tan

You cannot get the tan wet for 8 hrs, a medicure and pedicure would def ruin it.

Spray tan does not affect your nails

do they spray day a few days before the wedding. then get your nails done the day before the wedding. it shouldn't be a problem. i would also ask them not to use the scrub.

or


do the mani/pedi before the spray tan, then the tan, and then you could always have the nails re-done if you need ???

i do this every week , first you get mani pedi then before your spray tan they show you how to put the barrier cream all over your hands and feet fm me for more info if u want

I got my spray tan three days before the wedding, then did mani/pedi the day before the wedding. My spray tan lasts pretty long (I do organic airbrush). A little came off my hands and legs from the mani/pedi (and just from everyday washing), but it was totally fine...HTH
