Nails help!

Nails help!

I have very soft nails and try to do everything to keep them from breaking. I have no clue why but during the fall and spring, my nails look their best. Now that it's winter my nails chip, peel and crack and they look like stubs. I've been putting on coats of clear polish with with teflon to help. I used to get manicures about once a week, but the polish doesn't even make a week. I don't know what else to do. I thought about getting my nails wrapped, but that gets expensive and if I want to take the wraps off my nails will be even weaker. I don't know what to do. Anyone have any suggestions?

I am this thing from the nail place called ReJuvacoat. It works really well. See if you could get that.

nailtique is pretty good- makes your nails grow& keeps them stronger also anything that has garlic in it ( a lot of nail polishes have that ) it is usually in a green bottle i dont know the name sorry...

have you ever tried Nail Tek? I have very soft nails that break all the time and it really helped. It made them much stronger.

maybe try nailtique...also be careful how you file your nails, if you don't file them right then that is what will cause them to break many times bc the corner of your nails can get caught in the things which will cause breakage. And also if you dont file them right is when you can get hangnails...So i say use base coat and top coat along with nail polish, file them right and see if the nailtique works for you

What does it do?

Strength your nails. It also helps with splitting and breaking.

I use it because I use to have wraps and my nails were really damaged. But with that stuff they are doing much better.

i have the same issues with soft nails. i have a 'gel manicure' which basically means they use the powder gel that is used for wraps but with my own nail. its thin and looks natural but keeps my nails from breaking and i get it filled as my nails grow.

And also if you dont file them right is when you can get hangnails...So i say use base coat and top coat along with nail polish, file them right and see if the nailtique works for you

Mine are beyond that kind of breaking I'm good about how I file them. They just peel now

The nail salon I go to has the gel stuff. I've heard it's expensive though.

DID you have acrylic nails or anything like that for a long time? that is why they might be that weak now.

well hopefully something like nailtique will work...also, do you happen to have a calcium deficiency? maybe taking vitamins would also help

I'll try the nailtique. I have not been taking my vitamins for awhile and I do need to get back into the habit. Hopefully i'll see a difference! Thanks!

yeah i think vitamins can make a huge difference...if they are that weak and breaking in that way then theres something that you're lacking and you need. Good luck

i pay 15 for a fill ... about 10 for a reg manicure so it isnt too bad. i go to a place in seaford so let me know if you would like the info
