Name change ?

Name change ?

For those brides who have/are going to change their last name, how soon after the weeding do you have to do that?

I ask b/c our honeymoon isn't until a month after the wedding b/c of work, and I don't want to change official documents prior to the honeymoon.

As far as I know, there isn't a 'time limit' to change your name. Depending on when you go for your marriage license, for most of us, the official copy is sent while we're on our honeymoons, so it's just staring us in the face when we return! That's the easiest proof to get your info changed-because it will list your maiden name as well as new surname which is what most gov't agencies need. Hope this answers your question!
