Going to social security is first - with the new ss card you can go to DMV and everything should be easy after that

I recommend getting more than one copy of your marriage certificate..First Soc Sec, then DMV, then banks then everything else from credit cards to insurance comapnies to passport!

Once you get your marriage certificate in the mail, agree with the other posters, hit SS first, DMV, then all others will be easy.
