Does anyone know if you need your birth cert to get your name changed?? I have my license, passport, ss card...but I just cant find my birth cert right now ugh. TIA!!

is that to get it changed at the DMV? i believe i just had to bring my marriage license and old license. at the SS office, i read that you need proof of your old name and new name. HTH

I did not need my birth certificate for Social Security or DMV.
