Can someone point me to like a website where it tells you what you have to do?

There is really not much to do. You just go to the SS office and they take care of it. Then you just change everything else to your new name....driver's license, credit cards, etc.

Bring your marriage certificate....all the info is on there.

when you go to the ss office all you need to bring is your marriage license(the one you get mailed to you a week after your wedding) nys photo id. just to play it safe bring your origianl ss card & birth certificate.
i brought the same crap with me to the dmv too. just in case but all they wanted was the marriage license and id.
when it comes to bank accounts you need to bring your marriage license and id.
ss card was no charge and dmv was $12.50
did i miss anything?

now what happens with our passport? Do we need to get another cause it has to be the same name as the license to travel right?

I wanted to go to teh SS office on 48th and broadway but when i called teh recording said that if you live in Brooklyn or Queens you have to go to the office in Brooklyn or Queens!!! booooooooooooooooooooooo
