i am throwing a birthday party for myself (wow thats so sad lol) and i didnt know how to put it on the invitations should i do alicia's 30th birthday gala? its going to be very classy like a BALL i need some help ill take as many ideas as i can

I invited a small group of friends up to our families' ski house for the weekend before my birthday....I invited them online and Im calling it my '25th Birthday Sleepover Party' only this sleepover will be with plenty of adult drinks ;)
I think Gala or Ball would be fine if its really fancy- like formal wear fancy.

wow i like the sleep over thing i actually thought of that too but its soo hard to plan things because i always seem to cater to everyone but myself i always do what that want lol
thank you for your advice and thoughts hey do you think its cheesy or bad to have guests pay per plate ? im having it at a catering hall and i am trying not to pay for my birthday since i do it every year

I have been invited to 30th birthday parties where I had to pay $ to eat and drink and I didn't think it was a big deal.
IMO if you are going to ask people to pay for themselves, then I think you should have someone else send out the invites (a good friend or your FI).

So they'd have to wear a formal gown, and pay $100 or more to celebrate with you? Just trying to wrap my head around this. I've been to bday celebrations at restaurants where I paid, but I would not go if it cost $100.

wellnotthatmuchmoney i am waiting for catering halls to get back to me onpricing but i am thinking about $40 per person or per plate my friends wouldstrangle meif it was$100 perperson my sister has 5 kids i think she would shoot herself lol

well i just needed a theme and something to put on the invatations my fam never helps me plan anything and my mom has been giving my problems because she thinks its too much but i never had a party before and i never did anything for me so i wanted to finally do something for myself my sister had said she would help
