Babies learning language (I don't mean a foreign language, I mean how at one point little kids can know something like 10 words and a few years later they can have almost full grasp of language)

YES!!!!! Sometimes I wonder if/how I will be able to do this one day!

Re: Name something that you constantly find amazing...

Original thought - Darwin's theory, Aristotle, Pythagoras, Freud, Einstein (or all those original thoughts that great thinkers just came up with even though mainstream society thought otherwise and thought they were kooks). Just how amazingly intelligent and innovative some people are. I constantly say to FH 'how did they think of that?'

Airplanes

Trees/Photosynthesis/Plants in general and how they adapt to their environments (and animals too who live in super salty environments, the depth of the ocean, etc)

Bird migration

The ecosystem (how all the cycles work together - the nitrogen cycle, carbon cycle, the water cycle, etc - to create a place we can live in)

Ocean currents

Ignorance and denial especially of proven things (like the people who say the Holocaust never happened, ***?!?)

Great literature (just the creativity and intellect involved)

I'm amazed often

I agree about the seeing eye dogs. Dh is facinated by them.

I agree with this. Also, just life. After seeing my niece and now watching her grow, it is amazing.

How much we take for granted in our society,
access to good health care, social freedoms, especially for women, compared to alot of women around the world we have alot to be thankful for.

That airplanes - so huge and massive and with all those people inside - can go up in the air.

I know aerodynamics and all that, but when I look at an airplane, it amazes me that it can go into the air and not fall down
